As someone who was once the "release guy" I certainly don't envy him…

YEP. He had an episode where he walked around with nice China dishes and asked people opinion questions. If they got it right, he gave it to them and ran off. If they got it wrong, he smashed it on the street and ran off. So simple but it had me rolling…

DAMN YOUUUUUUU

Very much agreed-my comment to my girlfriend after we saw it was "David O. Russell is so damn good at directing conversations and arguments-people step over each other, there's a lot going on at once-it actually feels like a real argument/conversation, like you're there"

But…..but they say things in a nerdy way! They don't know how to talk to pretty girls! IT'S SOOOOOOOOOOOO FUNNY!

I'm not gonna read the review to go in mostly blind on plot, but hot damn am I excited for this. That was solidified when in the new trailer Bradley Cooper is giving someone a very serious talk about how he's gonna get his man…with pink curlers in his hair. Ohhhhhhh the 70s!

The Hobbit remains one of my favorite books of all time. I was excited for the first one, but became less excited when I heard they were making THREE films instead of two. But I was still pretty excited, so I dropped the dough for iMAX 3D (admittedly, partly so I could see the extended Into Darkness preview)

I'm not sure it's one of the "worst" movies of the year, but agree that it was grossly overrated. I really didn't enjoy it, at all.

Nolan's trilogy was "hilariously pretentious"? That's news to me…

Stand on the Horizon by Franz Ferdinand. Can't. Stop. Listening.

"No More Mr. Nice Guy" by Alice Cooper plays

I definitely enjoyed it, but I was also a little underwhelmed. I guess that's what happens when some people call it "the best Disney animated movie since The Lion King". I'd put it below Wreck It Ralph, but above Tangled I think.

This makes me especially sad because he was a rare celebrity that stayed out of the spotlight and seemed like a really decent person. 40 is way too young.

My girlfriend LOVES these HGTV renovation shows…this will be the article to finally bring her to AV Club. Cheers!

I just re-watched the paintball episode of Spaced…one of my favorite episodes of TV ever. Mike spitting out paint when he's down is one of my favorite sight gags of all time.

It's like the friend who brags about not having a TV or cable. Sadly, there are no gold stars for such an amazing feat.

The elevator scene was definitely a highlight-well acted all around and a nice moment of comedy in a dark story

The book (of course) does a much better of fleshing out her competitors. I agree that the first one did nothing for emotional depth in terms of teenagers being forced to kill one another-someone would die or someone would kill someone else and you'd go "Huh? Who was that? Were they important?"

That was miles better than the first one. I never read the third book (I heard I shouldn't bother) but the 2nd was my favorite of the two I read and this was a damn good adaptation. Whoever the casting director is should cast most movies, as pretty much everyone fit their role really well. Jena Malone in particular. I
