    Hart of Dixie.

    I don't know about that.

The numbers aren't ticking up, though. The viewership made tiny gains, while the demo went up, then down, then up to garner a 0.02 net gain in basically a year. That's in an election year with two major political conventions and Wilmore hosting the Correspondents Dinner (which he bombed) - not exactly an encouraging

Gotham is the highest-rated FOX drama not named Empire or The X-Files. And The X-Files is very front-loaded.

    Classic juztpazzingby.

People actually read the WWE coverage. Sites like this can't survive if people aren't clicking the articles.

Did they…not know what goes into making a TV show? I'm not sure what they expected having one parent be the showrunner and one be in (basically) every scene for 23 episodes of television.

Scripted shows, especially ones they own, have a much longer financial tail. Even if they're not destroying in the linear ratings, they can make money a number of ways. Game shows pretty much die the day after they air.

This is the second season it got moved to Saturdays from a weekday time slot.

    Two things can be true.

Homeland was good for half of season two + the last two seasons.

Yeah, I can understand a Halt and Catch Fire-type renewal if a show gets a lot of awards attention or if the network is small enough to have not experienced acclaim before. It'd be a decent branding tool.

He made a movie about slavery. Trust me, this is Hollywood; there will be more.

Yep, him writing and directing a rape scene is, for lack of a more intelligent word, icky.

I consider myself to be pretty gay (also, a pretty gay), but this show might be too gay for me. Murphy's diva worship has caused a lot of creative stumbles and having that wall-to-wall self-indulgence is a huge no for me.

Thinking of Transparent as being about something vital considering all of its flaws (a lot of which stem from its treatment of Maura + trans issues in general)? You really are a "whinging lefty socialist stereotype."

It's not like "I don't know if the Earth is round" was unchecked or uncriticized. Nobody on the show or in the media thought that was a valid/worthwhile opinion. Sherri Shepherd (rightfully) got criticized/made fun of for espousing it.

Why can't they bring in someone as showrunner and have Jeannie consult?

James Blake's music just made me sleepy.
