So does that make Casey Bloys HBO's CEO of Ordering Niche Programming and Then Cancelling Them When They're Not Mainstream Hits?

They're insisting that Logan wanted to end Penny Dreadful and didn't want to move on without Vanessa.

I thought she still had an EP credit, which, if they get a series nod, would get her nominated. I might be wrong, though.

Queen of the South isn't really an anti-hero drama.

It overperformed in measures FOX can monetize. It did really well On Demand, streaming, and with DVR viewers who actually watched the commercials.

Yeah, I just need The CW to have more non-white and/or non-hetero leads and I'll be good. The supporting diversity is nice progress, though.

Yeah, if they were in a regular workplace comedy, I might give it an episode or two, but the whole "Millennials, amirite?!?!?" angle is beyond grating.

I can't stand Bomani Jones (I find him really smarmy and I don't like his delivery), so I'd put HQ at 5.

That's terrifying. At least Skip Bayless had the decency to somewhat distance his horrible on-air personality from how he conducted himself off-air.

Really well said. I hate how many people at ESPN have a schtick and run said schtick into the ground. The Stu Scott School of Ruining Journalism.

    Should've been a good 85% of ESPN's current roster.

I'm not super into The Jump, but that's more about the show itself than anything to do with Nichols. She's very good anywhere she's featured - The Jump, PTI, Outside the Lines.

Jackie Mac would be an excellent choice.

ESPN Classic showed a Duke/UNC basketball game from the early 90s the other day and Vitale was one of the commentators. I was shocked at how different he was then as compared to now; he was fairly substantive and wasn't the buffoon he's been ever since I could remember.

There's been no cause of death confirmed as far as I know. I was listening to Le Batard this morning and even people who knew Saunders personally (Dan, Bob Ryan) don't know what happened because John wasn't (as far as they knew) in any ill health.

    At times.

Do I need to watch Big Wet Asses 1-17 in order to understand everything in 18?

I didn't like season three, so I was fine with the cancellation. It got very shrill and very up its own ass.

I kind of agree that the reveal could've been foreshadowed a little more, but I liked actually being surprised (whereas last year's mystery was easy to figure out) and I think not foreshadowing much made sense given how the mystery was structured. And the killer still has the capability of being a comedic character
