Absolutely, right on…at least I feel the same way. I also think the soundtrack immediately after the boy "whacks" Charlie lends itself to some "out of this world"
force. The boys apparently kind attention to the dog after the assault causes me to think "animals"…bears, mammoths, science/supernatural ?
