I seriously thought that was going to tie into an Ed Chambers related scandal by the end of the episode. Seemed too deliberate to be a throwaway joke.

I'm going to wait until the end of the season before writing off the existence of a native through line. If this show is good for anything It's quietly hiding the groundwork for major plot developments in minor details. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Ed chambers sexual harassment plays a roll in the finale.

I'm pretty sure that ending was a flashback to the night she stayed over.
