Episode One of American Gods is already up on the Starz app.

My new favorite episode. It was wonderfully written full of twists and turns without being cheap. It had some great visuals. I really enjoyed Daisy and the Director LMD fight being backlit by the fire and the whole Quakeball sequence. They hit so many great emotional notes (creepy, suspenseful, dispondant,

I'm just glad they made the "She looks just like my cousin joke". It was just too obvious to leave it hanging there.

Ramsay is a sadistic sociopath who's main hobbies are torture and hunting people. Are the show's writers really expecting people to emphasize with him?

TV shows do traditionally like using either gold coins (usually gold Krugerrands) as untraceable payments ( when they don't us bearer bonds) That's how I read this. Plus it let them somewhat but not too heavily lean into the whole Judas thing. Especially since they had they guy hang himself out of guilt.

Assuming it's Christian in origin the Spear of Destiny or a piece of the True Cross seen likely. I like the Splinter of Destiny or maybe the Holy Toothpick.

For everyone asking, Stannis is dead. The episode's director thought it would be gratuitous to actually show it. Sadistic paedophile are no big deal but Stannis was apparently too much for them.

A great epilogue for the week. This way we get all the fine details on why Peridot chose to defy Yellow Diamond while still maintaining the suspense of Message Received.

Fair warning CN released one of those 10 second teaser promo from an episode that isn't airing this week. It is, of course, a major spoiler. So just careful where look for SU stuff.

First off loved the song. That beat is just infectious.

There is also an episode in the safari zone where Ash had a gun shoved in face and one where James in a bikini and has breasts that were both banned.

Wow we did not even remotely read that episode in the same way. Neddy isn't wired to be around other people. So Bubblegum found him a situation where he could have his required solitude and be productive member of society (more than that he is the linchpin of candy society). Since people find social situations

I like that Felicity got to try out one of those crappy lies like Oliver from season one. It was a nice moment.

I wouldn't call this a betrayal. Mabel had no idea what the rift was. If she did then there was no way she would have handed it over. It was a mistake but one that was as much to do with Ford's lack of of trust as it did Mabel's desperation.

So glad I'm not the only one who thought that. It is so freaking distracting.

I like that Peridot is helping while keeping it clear it's not about doing the right thing. If she could get off planet she would do so in a second. I'm all for redemption arcs but they can't be rushed.

A Dalek did beg River for mercy but she was the only one there at the time. The Doctor didn't see it.

Captain Holt. He's hard to please but genuinely cares and pushes his people to be their best.

"I know kung fu" does come up though. Actually it comes up a lot.

I see Peridots being like the Pearl's 2.0. As ridiculous as her behavior has been I wouldn't be surprised if Peridot is in unraveling a bit, mentally speaking. Especially since her options for getting home continue to dwindle. It will be interesting to see what happens when she has no more orders to follow.
