I don't think they all started off awful though, did they? At the beginning Piscatella seemed to genuinely care about doing his job and taking care of the inmates. The Piscatella who yelled at the guards for laughing while Lolly was having a psychotic break doesn't seem like the same guy who would condone a fight club…
After seeing her back story, I definitely don't feel that she belongs in prison at all. Poor everyone. Her sister, the child, her. I really think her parents did not do right at all. She belongs somewhere that can provide supervision and assistance for her special needs.
