I think you cited the wrong Evan Katz here. The Evan Katz that worked on 24 is not the same Evan Katz (known professionally as E.L. Katz) that directed CHEAP THRILLS and SMALL CRIMES.

I think the patent office should go a step further, and give the trademark to Minogue.
