Thermodynamics means you cannot get something for nothing. If you are getting something for nothing, *someone else is paying*. Markets are a way to force humans to pay for their own shit. Being able to dump carbon FOR FREE into the common atmosphere is anti-market—SOMEONE ELSE IS PAYING FOR YOU.
