I thought most of the humor came from the characters' reactions to his advice. (Kofi shaking his head, Onion getting a ski mask and then coming back.)

This episode was better than I thought it was going to be.
There's also the fact that Sapphire has future vision and Ruby is single minded. Or it could be all three. *shrug*
Well now you did.
Well then they underestimated him, because he didn't. Plus Rose could've let him die out there in the desert.
But it's not fixed.
I said nothing about humans, and what you said had nothing to do with world building.
I don't know what that has to do with anything I said.
You might want to consider these things called periods.
Well, case closed then.
In a way I could almost see what you're talking about (the show is about (among other things) how great Earth is, but the Earth get's jack in terms of development) but I'm starting to get some weird vibes. Steven Universe world builds over time; it took the show a while before we even learned what the Crystal Gems…
Rose wasn't in the strawberry field. And he didn't go near the pyramid himself, and didn't even seem to know it existed.
I would think they wouldn't think of the place as dangerous so much as haunted, which can sometimes keep people away from a place. Plus, there's a difference between the dangers inherit in hunting game or mining coal and the dangers inherit in messing with alien technology.
The orange Gem's gem was rectangular.
Wasn't there a death pyramid there?
At the very least, given the questions the Gems were asking about Smoky's yo-yo, if Amethyst and Rose fused (and if the temple Goddess is a fusion of all five of them I don't see why they wouldn't have) they had a different weapon.
I like the idea that Garnet was extra excited because Smoky's proved that Steven can fuse *with another Gem*. Which means he can eventually fuse with *Garnet*. Square Mom is as hype for that event as we are.
Make all the late night dudes her monkey boys that carry her on a gestatorial chair to her desk at the start of the show, with Sam Bee as co-host.
Garnet explained it in the titular episode. She can see possibilities but not certainties. Steven winds up on the roof, and she says she saw that possibility but risked it because there was a chance things wouldn't turn out that way.
"1)that's three"
Well I was sort of being playful, but it's three pink diamonds in all plus Pearl's reaction. So four.
