Also, why did Ivy take a blood test if she didn't suspect that she was pregnant? If she did suspect, why was she drinking? Why was the doctor's office willing to call a patient about something non-life-threatening at probably 10 PM? WHY DOES NOTHING MAKE SENSE?

I liked that she was just "the Diva" at first: she was more of an icon than a character. But now people address her and talk about her, and having all of them call her "the Diva" to her face is SO bizarre.

True. I think it would be easier to take if they hadn't also had Karen and Ivy turning on each other AGAIN, like it's impossible for two women to be professional rivals without catfights.

The pregnancy reveal made me laugh out loud. I am pretty sure that's not the response they wanted.

She seems very sisterly towards him, which I like. It's established that he's an only child, so he's probably never had someone who could both take care of him and give him a hard time when necessary.

@waxlion:disqus I'm not sure many of the people tricked into watching Hannibal after The Office finale will be pleased about that. This show might appeal to a larger audience than currently watches it, but it's not going to find them by trying to hook them when they're feeling sentimental.

Then watch out for the people-beer.

I laughed aloud so many times this episode. They're barely jokes - just moments of humorous juxtaposition, for the most part - but they keep startling me into laughter.

Probably the same time he stopped having sex with women.

I like to think that's the actual cameraman, who has never imagined being asked to say lines and was a little taken aback.

My favorite moments with Teddy have all been scenes when he's either with Maddy or talking about her. That initial reveal when we found out that a) Maddy's not his daughter and b) he's known all along was pretty amazing. And then the dance in this episode was adorable! The story of Teddy as a man who loves another's

The best part about this is it gets the people being targeted to pay for the advertising.

Considering that that was not an actual denial, I was pretty sure we'd be back to Donna before the end.

Oh my God that makes so much sense and also makes me so sad.

I think I found the one where they return to Minnesota with Abigail more frightening: that extended scene in the house from the hair pillow to Hannibal knocking out Alana just kept heightening the stakes faster and faster. But the eyeballs here were definitely the first time I had to look away.

Whenever it's a Jimmy-centric episode, I wind up rolling my eyes so hard I give myself a headache.

She had what, 10 minutes of screentime? And she made me cry.

The songs make all the plot foibles worth it, for me, and when they actually deal with the music scene it's fascinating. Plus, the actors are great, which can make up for a lot. I enjoy watching it.

I loved how much the other actors were rooting for him and helping him. It went beyond wanting the show to be good: they all knew how big this was for him and wanted him personally to succeed.
