I think this episode differs to the Todd episode because whereas Todd was just a classmate and could move to another group or avoid them, Frankie is paid to work with this group. It's her job, as it is Jeff's, so she has to stick around. Elroy is now the IT guy, so he also has a personal stake in the group.
