I really don't understand the mental leaps people are taking in order to dislike Ren. Almost every scene with Chewbacca is a setup to show just how injured Ren is. Every speech Ren gives is to show how conflicted he is, and how he's not Vader. Expecting him to be as hardcore as Vader seems really… odd.
