I agree with you. It isn't that the plot has some unbelievable points, but that there are too many required lazy writing examples. I don't mind some lazy writing when it is a part of a strong show, but this is taking away from the enjoyment of it.

He had a high profile job that he accepted and failed, so he would be killed. He didn't just fail. He failed spectacularly resulting in the attacks in Kansas City.

He was going to kill them after, just like he killed Constance.

He apparently followed them there and was unawares of any meetup plans. He told Floyd that KC boys were there, while knowing it was actually police. He only wanted the Gerhardts dead. Because exposition.

alien technology requires aliens.

I don't care if UFOs exist when they are properly used. A UFO appearing and being no big deal except to the guy who would have killed the main character isn't a good use of space mans. Arturo Clark (no relation to the other guy) saod once that aliens should only be used if they can replaced with anything else and

Much of the show doesn't make sense. The first season was a long string of coincidences, but you could accept most of them. You are correct in your assertion that this is a stringing along of points to get from the beginning to a pre-determined endpoint.

The UFO from the first season was the wolf, which was in the Malvo scenes (on tv when he is buying one walkie-talkie, in the snow before he is killed, etc). Wolves fit into the setting without being jarring even when an obvious symbol. UFOs not so much.

>what purpose did going to radio silence…?

Self-reference that works.

The responses were ad hominem. It allows the simpleminded to feel as though they have defended their show while also putting me in my place. Quite funny.

"Insults are a form of argument."
-"spike is dead"

But then the Gerhardts wouldn't have been responsible for their own downfall.

I don't care about what you think, and know the trap you are trying to lay, madame. You are trying to appear smart, but fail to trick the trickster.

It didn't feel like the same show. I imagine it would be more jarring if there wasn't a week between episodes. The "cute" narration and storybook don't soften the UFO. They probably make it worse. The episode was a mess. The explanation for why Ohanzee ("Ghost") wanted to kill Ed and Peg was silly. He doesn't

It only becomes a problem when it is clearly a UFO. It cannot be anything else. It works when it is not explained and could be a result of the mind state of the character involved. It becomes a distraction, just as it was for Bear and Bear only, when it is a UFO ten feet from the characters.

Personal attacks are cute, madame. I bet you are refreshing looking for upboats! Come on, other losers on here, acknowledge me for defending "our" show. We cannot have criticism. Our simple minds cannot deal with any possibility that they things we like are not as good as we claim.

For aliens not to be involved the scene would have to be fundamentally changed. Tht is a poor use of aliens according the Guide to Writing Sci-Fi and Fantasy Narrative. It is like "Game of Thrones" use of "fantasy" elements. It is lazy and an afterthought.

Because that is what is happening. No one watches "Fargo" so liking it is being part of a elite club of people who know better than everyone else. It is also "cool" to notice the obvious Coen brothers references, which people who are less hip would miss. Yeah, I like when shows try to stroke my d instead of be

No, because they had to put Lou in danger, which can only happen with Bear attacking him as Hanzee would have killed him. Lou didn't have to be involved. It could have just as easily been Hanzee taken down by Bear which would make more sense as the mental state of everyone but Lou can be questioned. And that would
