Personally, I liked The Lost World more than Jurassic Park (books, obviously), but I still think the book is far better than the movie.

I know my post made it seem like I didn't like the movie, which is totally not the case. And even though I think the book is (much) better, the thing that really irked me about the article is the author's obvious disdain for Crichton himself.

I hate remembering that the movie exists.

I usually love AV Club articles, but I take serious issue with this one. This looks like a classic situation of bias from the author. How anyone could say the Jurassic Park movie is better than the book is beyond me, but I'd certainly be willing to hear someone out. The author here repeatedly insinuates that they
