We can be really prudish when it comes to nudity and foul language. Violence never gets censored as much as the former. It's worse on network TV, when they have to follow FCC guidelines. Cable can get away with a lot more because they only have their sponsors to worry about.

Zack, I too saw an edited-for-TV version of Ghostbusters as a kid, years before I saw the real one. In my version, Ray called him "Pencil neck.' I don't recall what Bill Murray's response was, but I imagine it was "It's true, this man has a pencil for a neck." Also cut: Ray's late night encounter with the hot ghost
