Note to Self #1: Should I find myself in a Japanese Men's Room and someone asks me "Red Paper or Blue Paper?", the correct course of action is Bathroom Man Law "No talking in the Men's Room."

RyBotch.

I love this, though I prefer Alexa to fly solo.

That Dana Brooke is on the main roster fills me with joy, but it also begs two questions:

Is it as hilariously stupid as "chicken Satan" from Lords of Salem?

I've noticed that. I used to chalk it up to "Welp, her acting is ass, might as well show the literal one." But then I saw Female Vampire and realized that Zombie "borrowed" that obsession from Jess Franco.

I still read both every October.

Mike Flanagan's point is most evident in the difference between John Carpenter's Halloween, where we get Donald Pleasance's brilliant monologue and the final lines of dialogue, versus Rob Zombie's shitshow of having Myers the poor, bullied psycho with a stripper mom. Just thinking of Rob Zombie's film makes me angry.

As much as I liked the first, and will probably like this one, Steve Miller is a line I won't cross. BOO to his arena rock awfulness. BOO him all the way back to Swingtown!!!

I know that the original was a popcorn flick at best, but I'm a sucker for a heist film, so I'm seeing it.

If you like the DIY ethic that drives Rudy Ray Moore's oeuvre (yes, I used the word "oeuvre"), I'd also recommend the work of Duke Mitchell. Massacre Mafia Style and Gone With the Pope (available through Grindhouse Releasing) both have the feel of a guy saying, "Hey, I made some decent bank as a comedy and lounge act.

In terms of plot, it was a bit light, and pacing was…deliberate. But it's definitely worth seeing, especially in a theater crowded by like-minded film-goers (the

I hate myself for how much I laughed at this.

Missing this on the big screen at Boston Underground Film Festival a few years back was my biggest regret at the time. I grabbed it on blu-ray and loved it. I cannot recommend this documentary enough.

I caught this on IFC back when IFC actually showed movies you'd want to see. I went in blind and was floored by just how good this film, and its soundtrack, are.

NextWave is an amazing book - Ellis and Immonen fire on all cylinders from start to finish. I've been praying for a movie or TV series for years. With the success of Deadpool, there's almost no excuse for it to NOT become a reality.

It makes me ridiculously happy to see love given to this ape-shit li'l flick, and to Sleepaway Camp (which I love showing to people for their 1st time based on ending alone). Doesn't surprise me to see Frank Henenlotter joining in the extras fun - Pieces has the type of "dirty joke punchline ending" that Henenlotter
