It really is insane. I think the going rate at a recent convention here in Australia was $100 for a photo. Surely the only thing most people say is how much they love the actor in whatever role - I'm sure actors really need a bit more ego stroking.

Plus convention appearances and charging ridiculous amounts for photo ops. Isn't that how ex-sci fi tv stars survive?

Ugh, Pierce Brosnan. I still think there's a market for a dvd version of Mamma Mia that dubs over Pierce Brosnan's singing with literally anyone else. He is so, so bad.

I was a teen girl when that came out and several of my classmates saw that movie dozens of times while it was at the cinema. DOZENS.

You're making me feel bad about being really behind on Arrow. Must. Catch. Up.

That got cancelled though, yes?

She got some really crap storylines, but she also isn't a very good actress. I really think Laurel sucking is a combination of the two.

At least she was wearing it all the time and it didn't just appear when she suited up like the black lipstick. Imagine having to sit around in the arrow cave because Laurel's nail polish wasn't dry.

Her strengths as an actress lay in snark and that's about it. She was indeed a fairly crappy superhero, but then they felt the need to eulogise her as this exceptional person doing all this good to save the city. I'm pretty sure she got into the business to go after whomever killed her sister and work on her rage

Totally agree. It's a great movie with catchy songs and beautiful animation, it's really disappointing that it sort of gets forgotten.

Hell yes. I showed my niece a lot of Disney films, but I wouldn't add Princess and the Frog until she's older because of that.

Dreamworks definitely took stunt casting to a new level, but Disney did it too. IIRC, the only reason Robin Williams' name wasn't heavily featured for Aladdin was that he made it a condition of him doing it.

I don't know if it was a particular film that killed the Renaissance, so much as relying on the same tired things like big names voicing characters, annoying sidekicks, too many pop culture references, as well as greater competition from other studios that had them cranking out films.

I really like the song, but I can see why they cut it. It would mean too many songs in too short a time and it doesn't really add anything to the story.

Me too. The new films look fantastic - the lantern scene in Tangled is one of my favourite film sequences, but there's something so appealing about hand drawn characters.

I also find it hard to believe that someone can watch this film, even as an adult for the first time, and be "eh, it was all right". I remember sitting down at about 9 with my 19 year old brother to watch this. His two friends arrived and started mocking him for watching a kids' film, then sat down and silently

The villains get some great songs overall. I still can't pick between Poor Unfortunate Souls from the Little Mermaid, and Friends on the Other Side from the Princess and the Frog.

I'm really surprised Disney didn't really push for You're Welcome to get a nod for best original song for Moana. It's super catchy and it's the song I was humming after seeing Moana.

Not going to lie, it's really funny when they eat it like that and they start choking and their eyes start watering, but approach Vegemite with some caution, people.

I'm going to assume that whomever wrote this was once convinced by an Australian that the best way to consume Vegemite was to lavishly spread it on toast without butter or to eat it straight out of the jar. Now, they're getting their revenge, one petty act at a time.
