Any Timothy Olyphant appearance on Conan is gold, but that one is fantastic.
Well, new compared to the original film. I think the special edition I have is from the early 2000s, so yes 15 years. That's a depressing thought!
Aw, poor Peabo. Didn't he also do the end credit version of A Whole New World?
Aw, that's a shame. I rather enjoyed Human Again.
I love Ewan McGregor, but surely they could have found an actual French person for Lumiere, or at least someone capable of putting on the French accent?
There was also a version over the end credits that featured Peebo Bryson and Celine Dion (off the top of my head), so Angela Lansbury's wasn't the only version featured in the original.
Does that include Human Again? One of the special editions of the original included that song with a new animated sequence.
Agreed. It's literally just trying to recreate the Downton aspect. I couldn't care less about the downstairs plotting and scheming.
I suspect any lack of pregnancy announcement was also down to prudishness - it didn't seem to be a thing that was commonly discussed and sort of ignored until a baby actually made an appearance. But the risks involved were probably also a factor.
It's amusing that you keep referring to Sewell's performance as Byronic, given that Lord Melbourne's actual wife (who gets referenced in this episode) was Lady Caroline Lamb, aka the woman that had an affair with Byron and was completely obsessed by him. I'm going to assume it's a deliberate comparison.
She's good. Slightly different vibe, but still QI.
Colbert loses interest in the network-mandated guests that are there to promote their movie/tv show/book. He's at his best with the guests that are involved in stuff he's really interested in. But I suppose you need a host that can make the interviews they think are boring, interesting.
Freddie was on the Australian version of I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here and he built up this amazing back and forth with the male host. He was funny, goofy and downright charming in a format that usually has celebrities letting their guard down and revealing that they're actually not nice when their publicists…
I think in Alan Tudyk's case, his jaw is expanding, thus filling out that slack skin that middle age brings.
I think it's because every picture of her seems to be in exactly the same pose, with exactly the same expression. You may as well photograph a wax doll.
I wish we'd got a reaction from Lorelai on this. She had a bit of a go on her sacrifices when saying no to the book (I think? It was 1am my time when I watched it and I haven't revisited yet), but I think she deserves to get stuck right it.
I also thought Rory's lack of drive kind of dismissed the sacrifices that Lorelai made to get her to the point where she could go to a fancy school and then to Yale.
IIRC, Tristan did start with a shove, but it was Dean that elevated it. He also reacted aggressively when Tristan came to Stars Hollow to rehearse.
Dean's reaction towards Tristan sniffing around was a warning sign, as far as I'm concerned. Guys who threaten violence after a small amount of provocation aren't necessarily someone you want your 16 year old daughter going out with.
