That tiny musical reprise of Where's The Bathroom in the scene were Scott needed to pee made me laugh so hard. This show's use of musical cues is delightful.

Damn, that West Covina reprise really hit me in the gut unexpectedly. Of all the places I thought it would go, I didn't expect that. All the party bus stuff was incredibly depressing, if only because it was all too relatable, and Paula was ON POINT this week. I genuinely felt so glad when she turned up at the end, the

I can't help but feel that she's been conditioned like that, as much as she's horrible right now. There was a line in her song about 'women gotta tell each other the truth', and I think Rebecca pretty much wrecked her relationship with her by lying in the earlier episode. Hopefully once they put the whole Josh thing

What Am I Feeling turned Madelena from delightfully bitchy to straight up sympathetic in two minutes…. Also, the song was a much showcase for Mallory Jensen's vocals compared to the solo she had last season. This cast is so enthusiastically bonkers, and I'm glad Galavant is here to tide me over till Crazy

It's coming back in January - it hasn't been on since May I think. That might explain it's absence.

Good point. His performance elevates the entire thing.

I like Don't Break the Rules myself.

Saw her in the Broadway production, she was great. Her voice is incredible. She's great as the Lead Player in the Broadway Pippin revival a couple years back.

This is my favourite type of AVClub article. Gimme Gimme is an amazing shower song, especially with that key change at the climax which just turns up the intensity till the end of the song.
Never thought about it, but you're right - if Taylor Swift ever covered Another Life, it could become a real mainstream anthem….

Yep! On the US store anyway. Dammit.

Thank you for articulating everything wrong with that finale.

I can't even watch HIMYM anymore. It leaves a bitter taste in my mouth, and everything has a general unfunny aftertaste. It's really sad, considering I loved it so much last time. Perhaps I haven't seen the good episodes lately, but it doesn't seem to have aged well?

Same man. Such a good line.

God, this episode was great. Greg is such a mensch, and Santino is crushing it week after week. He handled the entire B-story and it was a bummer, but he lent it quite a bit of emotional heft, especially with that song (and the air drumming!!)
They're really setting up Rebecca and Greg as end-game, aren't they? Not

I'm enjoying her trainwreck, horrifying as it may be sometimes. She's still enjoyable in her own way, and I think her smartness and occasional self-awareness (in musical numbers, mostly) makes up for it. They're not excusing her behaviour, more like explaining it? I dunno, Rachel Bloom is just an appealing performer

There was a book review about Lafayette a couple weeks back, and I scrounged around the comments section looking for like-minded crazies like myself. Thank god we have this thread now!!!!

Man, "Wait for It" is so great. All that extra story into Burr is just perfect for explaining why he is the way he is. And Odom Jr. just kills it.

Ugh. These references are SO GREAT. LMM, just kill me with your genius.

Oh FINALLY AV Club. I've been waiting for something on Hamilton to pop up. Seriously, its far too awesome to escape the mainstream media. As a longtime musical fan, seeing this getting embraced (and rightfully so) is so SATISFYING.

It is on iTunes! But only in the US. Where I live, it isn't on any streaming services or iTunes :( If I lived in the US I'd probably buy a bunch of songs, just to increase it's chances of renewal (as if that would work)?
