What was this?
There are helpful ways and unhelpful ways.
I didn't say it was his responsibility. But he's a jackass, and I don't find jackassery helpful. You might disagree.
Dawkins is no longer doing us (atheists) any favors.
But the fact that man IS the archaic placeholder IS a sign of privilege, whether any of us like it or not.
I no longer know what you're talking about.
No, nor is "men don't like Disneyworld." Unless you limit your definition of men to "hack stand-up/sitcom men," which, if you're doing that as a comedian, you have no business on the Daily Show.
Did you come to the AV Club looking for news?
"UPDATE, 5:30 p.m. CT: Noah has also chimed in on Twitter, saying not to judge him as a person by a handful of jokes cherry-picked from his Twitter feed:"
Yeah, that is a bit Twitter Colin Quinn-ish without the evident sarcasm.
That one doesn't worry me. What would be really rote is if he felt the need to be snide about what is probably a fine little movie that I'm not going to see. If he enjoyed it, good for him for saying so.
I went to an estate sale today, as is my wont, and the guy had a lot of salt and pepper shakers. Hundreds. Curio cabinets and kitchen cabinets full of them. I bought the King Kong and Empire State Building set.
IIRC, in 2003ish Counting Crows played the first half of a show at Smirnoff in Dallas, and John Mayer played the second. Today, of course, I wouldn't pay to see either, but I still think I made the right decision to leave when Mayer came out.
I've heard of 2.5. The .5 is that I THINK I've heard of Habermas, but I wouldn't have known why or who he was.
Yeah, the snark is really unjustified. It almost always is, but especially here.
That shield though!
Hey, that's the one! I'm pretty sure it's identical to the one I'm talking about, that they put on the B-side of the single for "Back in the Day."
PBS recently aired a full-length Elvis Live in Hawaii concert that taught me a lot about his act. And it re-taught me that he was bad-ass.
Blues Traveler has a live "But Anyway" that's really fun, off a relatively late single. A jam, of course, but a good one. The studio cut is good, too, though.
And Star Wars, etc etc.
