The "you" refers to Zack, the reviewer.  I don't think he'll end up liking DS9 better than TNG, even though I do (albeit with some reservations).  Sorry it took me so long to find this — I don't usually read the comments sections, I just like to add my two cents after reading Zack's.

I'm surprised you didn't mention the Wadi leader's mullet-type thing.  To me that's probably the most unintentionally funny/memorable thing about that episode.

Re: your "Stray Observations" on "Dax," I'm glad you're enjoying Kira's character so much.  When I first watched DS9 as a young'un, I too was drawn to Bashir and (did you say something like this in your review of the pilot episode?) was turned off by Kira's over-the-top posturing.  But when I watched the series again

I've really been looking forward to this because DS9 is my favorite Trek series.  Unfortunately I suspect it won't be yours, because the day-to-day episodes, on average, don't live up to TNG standards until the 5th season.  But the main characters and, especially, the secondary recurring characters are so much more
