Oh for crying out loud! Even without the queen's comment, Claire is from England!

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!
Oh I know! But in this context in this show, costumes, etc, it would have been really nice.
Yep - wonder how many realized that! It was worth a chuckle.
That's what Queen Elizabeth I supposedly said about having sex.
I was so hoping to see St Germain without that blasted wig! I just could never get past it to see what promised to be a rather attractive man!
I just rewatched, and I do think it is the next day. Jaime is a bit irritated that she's not around as Magnus brings him breakfast. "Of course" he sarcastically replies when he's told she at the hospital. Murtagh is around shortly after that making plans to do some sword work since the duel was two days from the…
And get the TSA after you for suspicious behavior!
Yep - with BJR around, you can only assume something bad did, almost did, or will happen.
From a different perspective - that driving was putting those horses in jeopardy. If that carriage had rolled, they would have probably ended up dead from injury.
As far as we know, Alex is still around somewhere, and he's the one in love with Mary Hawkins…regardless of Claire's meddling.
I agree with the reviewer. I thought I missed something to see Claire and Jaime back on such good and loving terms after last week's very emotional 'don't touch me'. That sentiment is pretty hard to get over, much less so quickly.
I thought Philip looked like a brunette Martin Freeman.
I think you are right! There would be no reason for BJR to touch Jaime other than to attempt to be a bit threatening/controlling, or to ask how his (BJR's) mark is and to 'lovingly' touch it. Considering the brand was on the right chest, it makes perfect sense BJR was reveling in it like a trophy.
Agree about the difference between reading and seeing something horrific. And agree about the more unsophisticated views about human sexuality being purely black or white.
I agree with you, but it really doesn't matter what is in the books. This discussion is about what we see in the TV adaptation of the books and the impressions that it leaves with viewers. For not-read-the-books viewers, this is all they know of Jaime so ideas are going to evolve or devolve from what DG put in print.
I think some of this idea that Jamie is gay, or bi, is related to the fact that the last rape in Wentworth was done with him under a great deal of duress…physical and emotional pain not related to the act of the last rape. He even said to Claire that it felt so good to not be in pain, and that he seemed to be…
Thank you! BJR is a sadist, and a rapist as part of his disorder, regardless of who is the person he's wanting to degrade. That doesn't rule out that his sexual orientation is for men.
Exactly. A Brit in France at this time, and in military uniform, was, well, balls-y.
Will Sandringham bend to BJR? Or would the implication be the other way around since Sandringham has something BJR wants - a job for Alex. And Frank and Rev Wakefield suggested BJR had a patron…Sandringham was their conclusion.
