I was reminded of the capuchins in The Borgias.

He was actually squished under a big wooden door and then trampled over the door by the cattle. It would be a hard injury to recover from, and especially back in the day. But clearly it was dramatic enough for Claire et al to think otherwise. You're not thick…just not willing to jump to assumptions.

Well, I realize that this episode is laying out multiple storylines but damn…eighteenth century Scotland is far more interesting than France!

Yes.

When another poster mentioned the KAL flight was later in this TV year, I immediately thought of that. But, it is a really big event with huge, and potentially war-inducing consequences. I don't know that something that big could seriously be an event directly related to the story of P and E.

Ah, Freddie Mercury~

What are you referring to? We know Nina was killed last week and Vane about a month ago…

I found myself a little 'depressed' for a day or so after Nina's execution. Felt the same way when Charles Vane was executed in Black Sails. Both were somewhat unexpected, at least in how they happened.

Don't know about that…the books certainly aren't a 50 Shades sibling. The visual aspect of Sam and Caitriona as Jaime and Claire certainly has chemistry, but I sure haven't thought of the series as 'sex through the ages as fantasized by housewives'.

Hope you've read through some of the other posts and see that you're not alone! But yes, a very confusing time/story jump that will right itself. Mini spoiler - the second book of the series doesn't start in 1948, but twenty years later. At least they didn't stick with that part of the story or people would truly

The show may be 'a thing' due to the popularity of the books. Seeing at least the start of the Outlander books in visual format has been a long time wish of many of the readers.

Didn't BJR do something similar with Jaime?

1968 Geillis could easily have read the newspaper article 'Stolen by Faeries'. So she could know of her, but not actually know Claire in 1968.

I thought that it was rather odd to go finding out one's fertility, unless looking to enter into another relationship and wanting to know for sure. However, I also wondered if TV Frank thought Claire ran off with someone else, simply because she didn't think Frank was capable and that she wanted children.

The amount of TV sex time with Frank and that with Jaime is disproportionate!

I know…thus the smiley face.

We know little about sex with Frank, but we do with Jaime. 😉

Do you mean when she accidentally passed through the stones in 1946 and ended up in 18th century Scotland? Or when we found her last night at Craigh na Dun in 18th century clothing but it's 1948, and then wandering down the asphalt road?

Maybe here -

About halfway down…
