It's bittersweet that the first New who companion to bite the dust was the impossible girl.

I'm just imagining what Elevens reaction would be during this compared to twelves and it's heartbreaking. Matt Smith's performance when saying goodbye to Amy had me bawling. And I wasn't even a huge fan of Amy.

I always thought that Caitlin and Barry made a lot more sense than Iris and Barry. Barry kind of gave Caitlin a purpose again after the death of Ronnie. It was just alright for me. The pacing really throws me off, it's kind of all over the place. The video game thing was a cool concept, but didn't really come together. Also the Haitian's death was so unnecessary. It needs to smooth out more. Hopefully this was just a bumpy start.

I think Alex Kingston is lovely. But I have never warmed up to River Song, especially with her relationship with the Doctor.
