I left the episode feeling it was Maggie Smith's through and through. She owned every scene she was in with vulnerable, earnest emotion and not an ounce of the snark Violet is so famous for. Very surprised to see her so overlooked in this recap.

Maybe Dr. Gurglar stays in NY and joins the practice replacing Peter and they become the leading fertility clinic in NY rather than SF. That way they keep the brownstone, stay together and have the practice she wants as well.

The wi-fi being down was an illogical excuse, but I thought Peter needed to use Danny's computer because, at home anyway, he'd probably be logged on and not need his passwords so it made some sense to me. I really like this show and yes, 95% of it defies logic.

I loved how CJ was written but I can never forgive him for Mandy in TWW. She's the low bar. Maggie and Mac managed to squeak clear of it. I thought Jordan in Studio 60 was a good character, but they had that poor woman go through every bad scenario in the book in one season. Either she was written with a strong sense

It's not perfect, but I liked it a lot. I like Bradley Whitford, Matthew Perry and Timothy Busfield so I was game. Also, I watched it unencumbered by reviewers telling me to hate it.
