Norman's lawyer is incompetent. She let him lock himself into a story she knew (or should have known) wasn't true before she knew anything about the State's case. There's a reason you don't let your client talk to the police. You find out what the State's case is, then try to tell a story that fits the evidence

The look on Chuck's face after Earnesto leaves makes clear that he intended it, IMO

Because everyone died so quickly, I think there is plenty of junk food lying around. This isn't like walking dead, where everything has been ransacked. In fact, a lot of the junk food would last like longer than some of the natural foods. Every grocery store they enter seems to be well stocked

Also, DVR the episodes and use the fast forward button liberally.

This show has given us some silly things over the years, but the way the Scavengers talk might be the silliest. I'd get it if they were some native tribe, or if they had been isolated from everyone else for generations, but to think they would adopt such a bizarre speech pattern in a few years is just nonsense.

I fear this is going to make the show less interesting. The best part for me has been watching Norman interact with the world under the illusion that his mother was alive. Now that he knows that "mother" isn't physically real, I fear the dynamic of the show will change in a less interesting way. As the reviewer says,

I don't think transphobia should be an issue. Yeah, they need to be careful with it, but Norman isn't transgendered. He in essence has a split personality, and one of the personalities is a woman. I guess when he is Norma you could say he is technically transgendered, but I never thought of it like. And neither

I agree. How much better is Highmore than Vaughn (who I love some of his other stuff)?

Loved Highmore channeling Perkins during the interrogation scene. Also loved the use of the Daniel Johnston song during the baking scene.

My guess would be she woke up either while he was carrrying her or as he was putting her in the bed. So Norman was in a blackout, Norma passed out/fell asleep, Chick picked her up and carried her upstairs, and at some point Norma woke up and realized what was happening. I have no idea how Norma would react to this.

I think when Norman is in "a blackout" he is actually becoming Norma. So Norman doesn't remember what happens when he blacks out, but Norma does. For example, whenever Norma kills someone, Norman is in a blackout. Norma is then able to tell Norman what happened, where the body is, etc.

But the people closest to him are loyal to him. And I think most of the Alexandrians are okay with Rick being in charge at this point.

I'm not suggesting it would be 100 melons. But maybe 12 melons, 20 ears of corn, 30 tomatoes. . .

DING DING DING. We have a winner.

But the original drop was for exactly 12 melons and nothing else. Did they regularly meet there to pick up such small amounts of food? It would have been more believable if the 12 melons were part of a larger delivery.

I get why they made them come back with the one melon. (Good analogy, by the way) I question why the original drop was for exactly 12 melons and nothing else. The other drops were all huge. Why would they have such a small one? Did Negan run out of melon whilst making a fruit salad?

I'd argue another flaw in Negan's approach is that people follow him out of fear, not loyalty. Rick doesn't have to worry about getting betrayed by his inner circle. Any member of Negan's inner circle might betray him if they think they can get away with it and it's in their best interest.

I never understood why Rick and Co. didn't kill Neagan the first time he came to Alexandria. They could have started preparing a defense as soon as they got back after Glenn died, and they could have taken Neagan out when he (stupidly) stood knocking on the gate.

Not sure I buy the Saviors going to a "drop" only to get 12 melons. Seems like a lot of trouble.

I definitely liked Future is Gnar more than this. If nothing else it was a more interesting concept. My other contender for least favorite was when Karl was going to get a sex change (or whatever it was).
