It's ignorant to call the spelling and pronunciation of a language you don't speak as 'disasters'. 'Gaelic' is a term used to describe a group of languages spoken by the Gaels, not just Irish. Irish is called Gaeilge, not 'Gaelic'. I've been speaking and learning Irish my entire life, don't try to school me on my own

They come from the Irish language, a language that's much older than English, with it's own grammar rules that are nothing like English. 'Saoirse' means 'freedom' in Irish. Don't be so ignorant.
