It's so great to see Fury Road topping so many critic lists for 2015. That movie was made with such love, such dedication, such craft. I just wish my stepdad could've seen it. He loved Mad Max, and he died just a few months before it came out. I hope he's been able to watch it on a big screen in Valhalla.

"It's me, Chara!"

Sorry, but Dave isn't anywhere near handsome enough to play Greg.

This prequel defending article is the most disappointing thing since the last prequel defending article. What kind of an intro is that, you say? Well shit, it's hard to be disappointed anymore when your expectations are so low, they're right next to fucking dinosaur bones.

SHAMELESS SELF PROMOTION ALERT: I wrote an article published two years ago to just in case someone tried to defend the prequels, especially when it comes to characterization. http://whatculture.com/film…

This article is the most disappointing thing since my son.

"But sir, nobody worries about upsetting a droid." That line makes me laugh out loud every time I hear it. His delivery is so snobbish, yet so naive. 3PO is so much funnier than Jar Jar, and Lucas (and this writer) don't even know.

Seriously, did Trump pay Breitbart even more money to dump their bigoted commenters off at the AVC for the weekend?

I see many of my frenemies from Breitbart and Infowars here! Did Alex Jones scare you into coming here? You guys have a hard time refusing his demands.

Shovel Knight was my favorite game last year, but I thought Plague of Shadows was a PoS. It was free, so I can't complain too much, but Plague Knight just controls so loosely. Most of the levels are just recycled Shovel Knight stages, which were built around his mechanics, so Plague Knight's controls really get

I was absolutely bored during that movie. Dumb premise, boring execution. I have no idea how people find it scary. I feel like people just jumped on the hype train for it because it's basically a mumblecore horror movie.

It's cute that Gamergators try to cover up their true agenda (to harass women out of the industry and community) by saying that the rise of indie games with "progressive themes" is proof of corruption in gaming journalism. Yes, Gamergate, it's the small indie companies that are bribing reviewers with money and sex,

Just because the majority of people in America are white doesn't mean that people of color should be reduced to stereotypes. Not really all that exhausting.

Disappointed that You're Next didn't make the list. It's more of an action/thriller/horror hybrid, maybe, but it was still one of the most surprisingly good B-movies I've seen in the last few years.

Totally agree with #1, and I also love Babadook, but I honestly don't understand the love for It Follows. I didn't find it scary at all, the premise felt like a porn version of The Ring, and it felt very mumblecore, which is always a turnoff for me. I'd say I should watch it again, but when it comes to horror, the

Got into an argument with a libertarian who actually believed that all schools should be privatized. When I asked him what the poor kids who couldn't afford school would do, he danced around the question until finally admitting he didn't care what happened to the poor kids. It was then I realized that debating with

My step brother is a self proclaimed objectivist and lover of Rand. His Facebook posts are always the same: "taxation is theft" this, "free markets, free minds" that. And the reason he has all that free time to post his libertarian nonsense all day long is because he's been on disability for a slight limp he acquired

I still love the show, but I've said it before and I'll say it again: it relies too heavily on these fake outs about whether a character is dead or not. When I saw Abigail alive, I groaned. When I realized she was a figment of Will's imagination, I groaned even louder.

Spoilers. I love this show, but I do have one small issue with it: they keep pulling fake-out deaths for major characters. They did it for Abigail (before killing her again), they're doing it for Dr. Chilton, they did it for Miriam Lass, they did it for Freddie Lounds, and they're doing it now for Will, Jack, and

The ending scene was lowest common denominator shock value, a sad attempt at getting people to talk about the show during a season without a whole lot to talk about.
