I don't think it affects just Theon. And I agreed that focusing solely on Theon was a mistake on the director's part.

In this particular case, why not?
As I am discovering in these comments, I disagree when it comes to Game of Thrones for the most part. I believe most rapes on the show were appropriate to the story except for Craster's wives and the mutineers.
There is that issue with time though. Did the Vale Lords swear allegiance to Jon before or after the Great Sept blew up?
The issue though was that the Lannisters wanted Sansa dead because they blamed her for Joffrey's death. The Knights of the Vale had an excuse to ride to Winterfell because they were going to kill Ramsey for marrying Sansa, not to save Sansa.
Why can't it be both?
On a wider point, you're probably right. I don't watch too many dramas but I remember giving up on Downton Abbey because of Anna's rape.
Putting Sansa in Winterfell eliminates Harry the Heir and most of the Alayne/Eerie plot. Placing Sansa in danger negates having the audience care about Jayne Poole, a new person they don't know. Placing Sansa in place of Arya Karstark means Jon and Sansa are reunited, granting a bit of bright spot to the Wall. …
I mentioned Showgirls and Identity Crisis earlier. The only other instance that I can think of where I consider rape as shock was the attempted Edith in All in the Family. Because apparently all I watch are CW superhero shows, comedies and Game of Thrones.
It's this scene that bothers me.
Yes.
People who say that Sansa's rape was shocking are not paying attention to anything going on in Game of Thrones and only want to forward an agenda.
It's complicated.
Humans for the most part are areligious. Vulcans are spiritual. Klingons have a belief in a god that they fight. Bajorans have the Prophets, which are wormhole aliens without a concept of linear time. Ben Sisko becomes their Emissary, a somewhat messiah figure.
I miss The State
Which means no more Perd.
Was Clare Grant in Seth Green's sequence or in another one? Curious if they did the husband wife two Fer deal or if she was in someone else's part.
There is a wide range of Christians. Some of them believe movies like God's not Dead is ridiculous crap. They also believe God's Not Dead 2 is worse crap, but are glad to see Melissa Joan Hart working.
Might I suggest either a Fillion/Quinn father-daughter crime fighter show? Or if you want to get rid of Fillion as well, retool that bad boy to a Molly Quinn and Toks Olagundoye working together as detectives. As Quinn plays Alexis Castle, you can keep the name.
Anyone else not look at the video, but listened to it? Her voice in this reminds me alot of Florence Welch's.
I doubt that she weighs the same as a duck.
