He's more machine than man now

In 1890 maybe. I lived in the Bible Belt and never heard it except in old movies.

Yep, I have the feeling we haven't seen the last of Ed Chambers.

Not really on topic but this reminds me of the debates about whether The Searchers is racist or not.

Basterts and Django are both good movies in and of themselves. But culturally the themes just seemed too fish in a barrel to me. Nazis and slaveholders are just too convenient as villains, seems like lazy writing to me. And the fact that both stories are historic counterfactuals seems to me to be somewhat dismissive

Oh wow, thanks. I hadn't seen that.

Interesting thing I noted: the freighter that Ezra "steals" that gets captured by the Imperials bears some resemblance to the ship that Rey's parents leave Jakku in.

Ezra is Snoke.

None of them are from earth, so none of that is true.

Not true, in canon Finn used a lightsaber without being force sensitive and in the EU a number of non force users have (including Boba Fett).

Last episode did have a pretty cool assassin droid, though it totally underutilized it.

I'm more convinced than ever after this episode that A) Ezra and Sabine are Rey's parents, and B) Ezra is Snoke.
