If my experience is any indication, 95% of people who show up for jury duty have either had a close family member arrested for a meth charge, themselves have a dismissed meth charge, or earn their income via suspiciously methy-sounding means.
One of this show's strengths is how it hasn't focused on the show's worldview but on each character's particular worldview. We view the Mad Men world only with the parallax of combining each character's own perspective. It's a remarkable example of working from the characters up, not from the viewer down.
Someone start this fanfic right now!
I know you're playing off a typo, but really, Ava's proving that a lioness without a pride to hunt for is a sad sad sight.
Ugh, yes. And Boyd wiping his tears and psyching himself up for a meeting with a neo-nazi? Amazing.
The thing I don't get, which at least Wendy addressed, is why they're still in Harlan. What's the point? The fact that it's an open question makes me think Darryl must have something up his sleeve.
It was the good, subtle version of Allison's speech, which was one of my least favorite things I've ever seen on Justified. I generally like Amy Smart, but I don't know if it's that she's off her game or if it was bad writing or if I was just ornery after having a brief teaser of Tim and nothing more, but that speech…
"Calvin Klein" certainly did.
Tim's meeting bewilderment is a thing of beauty, though.
My roommate came out of her room to check why I was chanting "Don't do it, don't do it, oh my god don't do it" at the TV screen.
May this show end with Boyd and Tim playing Scrabble as the world burns around them.
Well, all that time in the Flame Kingdom would certainly do the work of 15 minutes at 375.
Whoa. This is heavy.
This is not the future that Marty McFly promised me.
Jesus, is that real? These are dark times we're in, people.
Too hard to find and having the fatal problem of nonexistence. Zero stars.
Guys, this is definitely a US adaptation of Review with Myles Barlow, right? Which was excellent for the most part, and I totally recommend.
Yeah, Russia + Orson Scott Card does seem to be a bigot's dream, doesn't it? But this is the Relaxation Chamber, so I'm going to focus on the enchanting light and childlike wonder. I'll get back to being political about both country and author in the Olympics posts/Ender's Game sequel announcements.
Has anyone here read the Orson Scott Card Russian fairytale novel, Enchantment? These pictures (especially the bunny one!) remind me of that book.
