Guys, if Peggy's in such a hurry to get through that door because she's running from Teddy, I'll cry. Please don't turn Teddy into a sexual predator, Weiner!! I won't be able to handle it.

Ginzo seems to be dealing with, perhaps, some mental illness. This episode took what I thought of as his flair for metaphor and made it a little too real—is he actually seeing things/paranoid about things? Or does he just have an active creative mind?

Well, but Joan's going on other dates — maybe the Bob/Joan relationship isn't a relationship after all.

@Rocketpilot:disqus I would commit crimes to get Rebecca Front to be the Doctor. Well, probably only minor misdemeanors. But still.

@Garrison Submarine was awful. But, yes, I'd like to see more of Ayoade's comedies.

@Rocketpilot:disqus The only true choice from Green Wing is Stephen Mangan, but he's already flat out denied he'd do it.

No joke, I went to camp with his son in high school. He was exactly what you expect the grandson of the exiled Shah of Iran to be.

Aw this little video does such a good job of showcasing the cast's chemistry.

Really? I love Dead Like Me! I prefer the first season (after Daisy, of course), but I think it's a really solid two seasons of TV.

Moone Boy was my favorite show of 2012. A really lovely little piece of art.

I mean, he kinda was crawling with them—that Baroness was no easy catch, he turned a former nun into a mother of 7, and you can't tell me that Frau Schmidt's selling them out wasn't in part because of unrequited love.

Captain Von Trapp was my first hate-crush.

@HappilyDepressed:disqus You're definitely not. We've discussed his animal magnetism in the AVQ&A comments before.

What is with all the vitriol directed towards Friends? I get not liking it, but the level of vehemence in people's dislike is really surprising to me. Anyone want to explain why?

This is very true. I'm interested to examine Friends now in the age of meta-humor and see what new things I take from it. It's impossible now to watch Friends on its own terms. Should we try to rebuild context the best we can? Or just place it into our own context and risk over-critique?

They don't even have to do all of it! Just the best ones! Just "Three Valentines" if they must.

23! Are you kidding? I'm in my (mid-to-) late twenties, and I still think of the characters in Friends as a benchmark for grown-up-ness that I'm not really near reaching yet.

@paraclete_pizza:disqus Passive viewing is the key, I think. My parents have watched episodes of better things with me and enjoyed it. But then I say "but you have to watch next week, too!", they shake their heads. Both really chafe against the idea of true serialization. They want to sit down for 30 minutes and not

I'm content with almost all early cancellations (only the good die young), but yeah, Terriers is the exception. It needed at least another season to get there.

I guess when you're doing that many drugs, you don't need to ever sleep, eat, or see the people you care about.
