I'm surprised you felt disappointed in a few of those, examples being X-Men and Pets which weren't particularly well received in general.
The only ones of those I really found "disappointing" were The Nice Guys (still liked it, just not as much as I thought I would), Deadpool (same idea as The Nice Guys), and Fatastic…
surely trying to get to the top to be in the safety of their home makes more sense
If you couldn't even find Civil War or Doctor Strange to be good then why bother watching studio blockbusters at all? What are you really expecting from them?
not sure what any of those have to do with Whedon
at this point I'd say the opposite in that people hate it way more than it deserves
that's the opposite of irony. He literally admitted that he wants to work on original works since he had previously been recycling…
I don't really understand the anti J.J. Abrams backlash considering he has only made exactly 1 reboot. I get that people just regurgitate whatever South Park says, but putting at least a bit of mental energy into what you type would be helpful

If the jokes work, I assume it must be a great comedy that happens to be a generic superhero origin story.
wait people dislike the Harry Potter films?
And I'll come out and say this: I think The Force Awakens and Rogue One are better than Episode IV and V
The comments the reviewer keeps making about how people reacted to the tape only make sense if they didn't think Christine sent it herself.
You should consider what the word "racist" actually means before throwing it around so casually
It's definitely possible I misused the term. Even after being told I used it incorrectly, I rechecked online to make sure I was understanding it correctly and it's surprisingly difficult to find a consensus meaning.
I mean I guess if you remove all context, just "counting down in Arabic" obviously isn't race-baiting. When said counting down happens on a plane right after saying to your friend while filming "Hey how do you think people will react if I start loudly counting down from 10 in Arabic", then it is clear you are trying…
