To be fair most of the blockbusters making this list could instead receive that honorable mention

Considering Last Stand and Origins would likely have been near the top of this list if they came out this year, being better than those isn't saying much

SS wasn't really creative at all. It was about as generic a film as they come except it had some interesting characters thrown in

They likely tried to sprinkle in some popular films that they knew weren't as bad as others. BvS for example at exactly 20th place was likely moved up just to make the list as an honorary spot, rather than actually being worse than films like that

I legitimately think that was intentional though. There is literally a court scene and the whole film is essentially about public opinion of the two characters.

Isn't that literally all that happens in the old Superman films? Isn't not seeing those types of scenes exactly the problem people have with Man of Steel?

tone is purely subjective so I don't think that can really be considered a problem. Characterization is definitely valid though.

I actually think both movies have that exact same problem. Both are solid films butchered by atrocious editing

I actually watched the first episode and found it boring so dropped it. I had meant to try again but good shows keep piling up so I haven't felt an urge to try again

I've been interested in trying to watch that show but it seems more procedural than I usually enjoy. Does it change to being more serialized in later seasons?

When I was a kid it was my favorite of the trilogy but when I rewatched it recently I don't even think it's a good movie anymore and found most of it very boring

It' ending worked well enough though so I think it's for the best that it ended before becoming terrible like many other shows

for some reason that's very stressful to me. I have about 250 films and 60 tv shows that are on my imdb Watchlist and I find myself unable to get through any in a remotely reasonable timeframe since so many new ones are added frequently

It's true the fact that there are so many great shows coming out lets you drop ones that almost feel like obligations to watch. I had shows like Oz, The Shield, and Mad Men in my backlog because of their execution rather than their subject matter, but in recent years it's pretty easy to find similar (or even better)

The Wire was recently remastered in HD so it's actually likely an even better time to try watching it.

Why not just have no survivors?

Well they purposely let the plans in RotJ get stolen

Do you know if this was before or after his brain surgery?

Pixar was already established as a huge competitor at that point though
