that doesn't excuse the overacting he does though. Real people don't talk anything like the way that character talks.
All of those happen in Aliens fyi
no offense but claiming 80s action films are the best is almost certainly based on nostalgia.
I love action films. As you even said though, maybe Aliens created the cliches and influenced other action films that ended up being better, and since I saw them first Aliens doesn't hold up as well for me as it does to people who saw it when it came out. Action movies evolved more as a genre than most others due to…
It kills the tone of the film for me though. Not every film needs a character specifically for comic relief. Just have characters that aren't emotionless robots and comedic moments can still be added to the film without having a dedicated character as a jester
Bill Paxton's character in general is often cringe-inducing and the fairly frequent one-liners. It's not quite as cheesy as a lot of the 80's action films of its time but still cheesier than most action films. I find it pretty hard to stomach most 80's action films though and I do think this one is a lot better than…
I've never fully understood the love for this film. It falls into a lot of the cliches of 80's action films which hasn't really aged well for people viewing it for the first time without the conditioning of those films. There's just a bit too much cheese to be great in my opinion.
If the movie were supposed to be truly great then I could see an exception being made, but from the sounds of things it's just a solid film so there isn't really any reason at all to see it over other similar quality films made by people who aren't scum
That doesn't really apply to this film though. It was already finished when it was purchased by a studio so it's not as though the studio could have invested more in action
Supposedly it does fix the first 3. The grim tone is a matter of preference and not actually a flaw with the film.
It seems most people agree that it did though. The problems with BvS was missing character motivations and poor editing so it makes sense an extended version could fix that. From what I've heard (I haven't seen Suicide Squad), they don't suffer from those types of problems though
People might want to consider looking up what a plothole is.
Oh no not down to the level of the Avengers! Being brought down to the quality of one of the most beloved films of the past decade, or possibly all-time is a travesty that all media should strive to avoid
Well he died because the Alexandrians are incompetent since they never had to worry about zombies.
Zombies are rarely a problem for the characters at this point though. It's only when humans try to kill them where the zombies become threatening since it causes them to move or their fortifications get destroyed, but that's not really the characters' fault
Of every show on television, it's this one I'll never fully understand the hate for. Not being the best show on television does not automatically mean it's awful as some hyperbolic commentors would have you believe
What argument?
It's rare a season finale manages to have about zero plot development in the episode. This may have been the worst finale for a season I've ever seen which was extremely disappointing considering the two episodes before it
Maybe you're right. I may have underestimated how much there was since Civil War seemed to have significantly more
