What was the game that Darius was playing?

yeah but the context of it was as in "the most boring thing we can think of"

the invisible car at the end was a nice touch.

Did Chris and Earn come out of the same stall?

bouncers know all the moves

ahh yes now that you mention it I think I remember that too. I guess that sort of places him in multiple worlds.

exactly. Also I was thinking that Earn (and we don't know a whole lot of his backstory) seems to have a foot in the middle class/intellectual/introspective side of the black experience (not sure if he went to a HBCU or not) whereas that isn't really Al's thing and his character presents a foil to that tradition

exactly. I think this episode might be intended to inform the viewer that the series may be turning a stylistic or narrative corner and be prepared that things will now expand. I'm surprised that I haven't heard many comments about similarities to the style of Community

I was thinking of this episode as dividing the Season's first and second acts. We've now learned about the main characters, what makes them tick, how they relate, and their current situation. Now the universe is going to expand and we'll be introduced to some minor characters within that universe and how they relate

Can we get the lyrics to "Illuminati Sex"?

I liked how the Fine Malt Liquor guy almost bumped into someone doing slight of hand.

Why is the Dodge Charger guy driving AWAY from free dental care? Oral hygiene is important!

exactly!

and "goddamn, it seems like I spend half my life changing these things, finally I understand their purpose in my life!"

good points. and also globes are sort of "of the moment" and help to place the story in that era sort of like asking the diner waitress to get you some cigarettes.

I wonder why globes were chosen. The fact that, in the original, they were bible salesmen who couldn't make the sale seemed so much more poignant and could provide many more interesting pychology-based strategies for making a sale.

I meant in the pee after it was expelled. In other words, ex vivo use of the charcoal.

What janitor has the job of dumping all the school's pee or do they just put it in the back of a storage cabinet letting it ferment? Evidently fermented urine was used a a flavouring for ale in Victorian London…..https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lant

and with the hug from her principal. so "thoughtful" to pretend the conversation wasn't held until Friday. But bizarre to fire her for the fact that she admitted to smoking to a superior right after the principal admitted that the urine wasn't really tested.

the joint goes next to the shellfish fork in a proper place setting. FYI
