Considering how horrible most films about people with disabilities are to those people, this is a really exciting casting decision and I'm excited to see it. Honestly, I don't know if 'kindness to its subject' is really much of a con to me. Sounds only as if I'd want to root for Gabrielle too.

Bianca del Rio totally upended this season. She's messed with the entire format through sheer force of wit, a well-placed brushstroke of maternalism, and a narrative that she's willed into being. I think all of that demonstrates a savviness that is beyond deserving of this particular crown.
