The Governor never been in the prison until this episode, he LIVED in Woodbury. Use common sense please, which one would he know more about? Him and his group got ambushed because he wasn't aware of the prison setup. He had only gotten into a small part of it.

Wasn't useless at all, Merle took out 8 of his better trained guys, most of the people the Governor had were old or had little to no training after that.

The Governor living is a GREAT thing to do, this storyline is the BEST in the entire comic, and also one of the longest, it deserves more than one season.  WHAH! WHA! WHA! All babies do is whine.
