The Marxist philosophy is everybody has a place in society decided by the State. Fascism marries the state with private industry hence no rights for anyone not connected with the State.

The whole film was tiresome and trite (except Chris Evans & the remarkable Tilda Swinton). One could fast forward thru everything and watch Tilda and Chis interact and THAT would make a good film. The "Brazil" and Mad Max homages were pounded into our heads. Some nice visuals but a juvenile miss.

Tilda was great. Agreed about the rest of the flick. Bad stuff.. Watch "Halt and Catch Fire on AMC for real adult fare.

The best comedy show was and is "Seinfeld" and that was nearly cancelled due to low ratings HBO would pick this H&CF in second if AMC passes. So they can make "The Leftovers" just that. There is a lot of nitpicking at this show. Is there anything else out there like it? The Last Ship, The Strain, The Leftovers and the "Walking Dead" are aptly named since these shows are written to the level of a 13 year old. H&CF is entertaining to the point that the viewers can sense the smallest divergence in show.
