Amy Schumer who's made racist jokes on her feminist tv show???? dat ol white feminism.

I don't think there's a problem celebrating her character. Celebrate Rey! I like her. Well, up till the point people act like just because she's mostly stoic, or wields a lightsaber or doesn't need rescuing or doesn't have a love story (yet) is what makes her awesome and forgets/puts down the other female characters

Just as joyful as I expected. Was it cheesy, campy? Yes. But, I don't expect high art from my superhero shows. I don't need it. Maybe, I was in need of some unadulterated joy after watching the grim and gritty vision of Synder's Superman and Batman.

No, that makes perfect sense!

That's true that people still argue about women being equal. But, I still believe that it takes more to be feminist that just thinking that women should be treated equal.

I think this depends on one's definition of feminist. I don't think that feminism is just about believing women are equal, which is what Maisie seems to veer to.

Same. I've been tired of Cat's white feminist shtick for a few episodes so I cackled when she got thrown off the roof.

Birthright, btw, is my ideal Superman origin and what I wanted Man of Steel of be.

Do! I loved it. Keep in mind that it's geared towards a YA audience, but I loved Lois in it and, yes, the comparisons to both Veronica and Nancy Drew are apt. I was reading the Veronica Mars novels at the time I read this Lois Lane novel.

All of them (We do not speak of Kate Bosworth)

Beth wasn't even my favorite and I agree. I officially stopped watching when Tyreese died. He wasn't my favorite either, but after Beth died, he was the only adult kind, gentle character that hadn't let the world they lived in corrupt him. And, then he died. I check in on TWD every once in a while, but it's

Same. It pissed me off even more when the aftermath of her death was done so terribly. I think I usually quit shows over tv deaths when the deaths are exploitative or emotionally manipulative.

Mine began when Dee killed herself.

Same. I think Lady Sybil's death was even more terrible for me because they didn't give the character anything in the episodes prior to her death. And, then she died in childbirth, her last words insensible, because of her father's and her male doctor's incompetence.

Yes, exactly. I'm so glad that they had Alex tell Kara even though she was terrified that it might have irreparably destroyed her relationship with her sister. I'm also so glad that Kara hugged her. I'm certain and await the glorious angst to come because my instincts and my experience with Superfam media tells me

I think Kara/Alex is being set up for a future episode. It's not a spoiler but I'm almost certain by the plot synopsis of one of the future episodes that it is. I just have watched and read a lot of Superfam media so I'm sure it's not over. But I LOVED the initial moment of forgiveness because Kara/Alex is what I'm

Me too. I think the only things that intrigued me were the last few minutes of Julia's SL and Kady's history.

Huh, I found Meredith/Cristina toxic and stifling to each other as the series went on and I thought 'you're my person' was as trite as the 'I will always find you' catchphrase from Snow/Charming (OUAT). As someone who was a Cristina fan, that friendship made me roll my eyes more as the seasons went on. *shrugs*

People seem to love Alex too. That includes me, since she's the character I'm most invested in and the Kara/Alex dynamic is my favorite and what I watch for.

I like J'onn's priorities and Alex would ( my lil tea cup of rage and loyalty)
