I wanted to like Hemsworth, the dude's got serious comedic timing, but he was saddled with that overly commonplace comedy character of "guy who is so dumb he appears to have genuine brain damage," a type that should've been retired after it was pretty much perfected by Steve Carell in Anchorman.

It was largely ad-libbed, but they clearly had a much stronger grasp on who the characters are. Here, there was a weird dissonance where the scripted parts would be in character and the comedy bits would veer off into modern improv territory where everyone is just making random jokes and trying to outdo each others'

Cool. Now kindly get a completely *different* woman to showrun and we'll be all set.

Another non-American here and if I could like this comment a thousand times, I would! The Garrison as Trump stuff is amusing but even Parker and Stone don't appear *that* interested in it. There are so many more interesting things going on in the show right now.

Since it's being discussed again, this is probably as good a time as any to link to this great Dissolve article about A.I.'s so-called "feel-good" ending. https://thedissolve.com/fea…

He's admitting to having looked at and enjoyed Lawrence's nude pics while still realising that he's an asshole for having done so. It's a pretty humanising statement, not one worthy of condemnation.

i'm sorry to tell you this, but Corey Haim is no longer with us.

Judging by the picture, Craig is next playing the lead in an adaptation of an 80's side scrolling beat-em-up.

The Room is bad but it's not irritating.

Still, no reason you can't say hello.

Yeah people seem to be obsessed with the term "Douche vs. Turd" when the actual content of the show *clearly* indicates that they've picked a side.

He's very close to being the sole writer. The 6 Days to Air documentary makes it clear that he uses the writers' room mostly just as a way to have people to bounce his ideas off of. I have no doubt some of their jokes get in but when it comes to writing the script it's all him.

It's pretty remarkable. I'm sure not everyone thinks so but just the fact that a conversation even exists as to whether the 19th season is the best they've ever done is pretty insane.

Huh, I had no idea Sublime were that looked down upon. I just like that shit cos it's catchy.

Yup, as usual it's a funny video that preaches to those who want to get it. A friend who's firmly anti-Clinton posted it yesterday writing "Taking the piss out of Hilary Clinton. She completely lacks humour!!"

The whole use of it in this episode is deliberately lazy though. They make a joke about how terrible nostalgia is and then immediately revisit the Douche/Turd concept.

Finally a series about how awful it is being rich.

Speaking as a foreigner who watches the odd American game show: what the fuck is wrong with Americans? I've never seen such insanely enthusiastic people outside of a lunatic asylum.

How can it be both "oft-requested" and something "no one was asking for"? Huh????
