It still bums me out how the media so gleefully smeared Gary Johnson and Jill Stein, and how so many people just went along with it. After all, almost everyone I know wishes we had a third option in the 2016 election.

So it's a show about black people, made for a black audience - with a message for white people to recognize that this is a show about black people, made for a black audience…
Even when it's not about us… it's about us!
My "blowing up a dam" example wasn't really referencing anything specific - although groups like ELF and ALF have been charged with arson and damaging property.
Except for me, since I am the pure embodiment of bias. I AM BIAS.
Yeah, but making stochastic terrorism illegal could get messy. Do you want conservatives to have means to charge leftist groups with terrorism anytime a gunman kills police officers, or a protest turns violent, or an eco-terrorist blows up a dam? Food for thought.
The director of this movie, Tom McGrath, came to my school to talk about making the film (and also did his Skipper voice for us). He could talk your ear off about the fantasy sequences in Boss Baby - how they tried to capture the look and feel of classical Chuck Jones works, and how he hopes his next film can push…
Also, we get President Pence if we do that.
Sometimes giving people like Milo a platform is the best way to let them expose themselves as idiots.
I'm confused… I thought Freedom of Speech meant that I can say whatever I want without consequence…
Guys, when will you learn from our new President? The answer isn't to delete the Tweet people are angry about. You have to post so many offensive Tweets that people get used to it. Then, when someone calls you out on one, say "I never said that."
Also, ANIMATION IS A MEDIUM, NOT A GENRE! BRAAAAAAAGH!!!!
…
Sorry.
Thanks to both of you. The civility was a nice change of pace.
And I think it's that knee-jerk reaction that turns a lot of people off to activism, because it gives the impression that our goal is to antagonize white males, rather than promote diversity. We need to be clear that we want these topics to be discussed by EVERYONE. We need an open dialogue which includes white males…
Well, maybe this little kerfuffle will embarrass some studio execs into being more diverse in who they hire to direct animation. Maybe. Probably not.
I get why people are bothered by this, I really do. But the overall snarky response to it concerns me. I'm worried that the message we give is "if it's a room full of white men, they shouldn't have an open and frank discussion about diversity" when the message we want to give is "hey Hollywood, can you let some women…
It was a panel on directing animation, with a few questions about diversity as it pertained to the films these men worked on. The Hollywood Reporter gave it a misleading headline, because I guess they thought it would garner more attention. It backfired.
I love how they decided Rogan was the only one worth mentioning by name. Animation directors get no respect.
I get the sentiment, and The Hollywood Reporter should have known better than to go with that headline… but I feel like the unintended message here is, "If you are a white male, you are not allowed to talk about diversity in any context. Stop 'splaining".
