The Addams Family, Get Shorty, and Men in Black show that he was more than a decent director. Last I heard he dropped out of showrunning Netflix's Series of Unfortunate Events show, which is too bad because he would have knocked that out of the park.

Archer isn't motion capture. The people-models are only used as a basis for the character-models, which are then animated. It's not like the models come in for every episode and act it out. Motion capture is a very time and money intensive practice that just doesn't work for television's budgets and schedules.

Because models aren't actors and acting is more than saying lines?
