Yeah, I was thinking something similar when reading another commenter say that it felt like the entire show up to this point was leading to this episode. And yet it's nowhere near a finale or premiere. Just an amazing mid-season ep that stands alone.

Jimmy has tried so many times to repair it but he never gets anything back from Chuck except an occasional conversation about something from their childhood that gives him a glimmer of hope… after the taping, Jimmy's done trying. Or so I hope.

Just… yet another reminder of how these two brothers that used to be/should still be close… are so dysfunctional. It's painful to watch a family go so wrong.

Smap!

ah, wow. really? even the ones that have been over for years now? Dayum.

I feel like it's possible Jimmy did take some cash from the till, but he rationalized it away as "dad's giving con man after grifter after scammer all this money… if I take some myself it'll just be saving it from being wasted."

Well, YMMV ofc. And ideally, it's both. But it can't be both for every viewer all the time, alas.

Yeah, I figure about the same. Still, one of them had to have the thought first to suggest the split.

We all get what's coming to us… eventually.

'tis but a Pyrrhic victory, I'm afraid.

I mean, it's not Huell's fault that Saul goes into hiding as Gene… don't blame poor Huell! ;_;

Yeah, they're like two doomed figures in Greek mythology.

How many of the canes in this scene did he play?

My wife and I just started our Americans journey a weekend or two ago. We're resuming the binging this weekend (just 3 eps in).

Yeah, it's too bad you don't hold brotherdom as sacred as you hold THE LAW, Chuck.

well, and the Unabomber comparison reaaaaaally drives the point home again.

Yeah, there was a moment during the cross-examination where Chuck either actually was astonished (or was just acting that way) about Jimmy not contesting what was said on the tape…

They're going to have a little talk about the "R" word.

Yes, over the course of the seasons, Howard definitely wins my "most improved" award.

I have gone through periods of time watching this show feeling like "please… please can we find a way to end the Chuckness of it all"… just totally overdosed on Chuck and wanting it to be over… and yet the writing of the relationship between these two brothers always brings me back on board, especially with the ending
