Interesting part about Darlene needing the protection more than Elliot there. Now more than ever after what we just saw in the 2nd part of the finale. Oh, season 3 can't come soon enough!

Yeah, but the FBI doesn't even value her. She needs to join the team where her talents will be appreciated. Elliot would find her to be an excellent teammate. ;)

in case you didn't know, aside from Maggie… Rick and the Governor and Morgan and Jesus are all British as well.

Was thinking about adding that to my list of "ones I know I need to watch" but I feel like it's not quite as much of a must see from what I've heard as his oldest two movies are. Still, it's definitely #3 on my "get around to it" list for him. :)

Now I want to figure out where in Carnivale my HBO sub stopped so I can pick it back up again…

African unladen giraffe.

I'm personally a fan of just grading it like most school assignments. 0 to 100, but not with F being below 60 or whatever. Make it like 0 is no stars, 20 is 1 star, 40 is 2 stars, etc. etc. up to 100 at 5 stars. That way reviewers that prefer a rounder number can just use 100/90/80 but other reviewers can go for 85s

I'm guessing 1.5 hours or so.

Ah… in other words, kinda a "first world problems" type thing to emphasize in that shot of it so prominently.

Heh. Yeah, I hope someone has told some of them that they're on Mr. Robot. Of all of them, I suspect Obama and Comey are the least likely to have watched the scene(s) in question, for some reason. But maybe the trio of financial/treasury cabinet-level folks in that scene with Price early in season 2 have seen it. ;)

Yeah, by no means did I dislike season 6 (or the ending), but aside from a few really awesome high points in it, there are a lot of things I'd have done differently if I was writing it (backseat driver over here!).

Well, that's taking it a bit far. I mean, different strokes for different folks, there's no accounting for taste, etc. etc.

No, I get that, that's why I said "aside from the window thing" in my original reply. I just don't see one event, no matter how shitty, as outweighing the years and years of his mom's abuse. Also, I forgot to mention it, but Elliot said he loved going with his dad on the train to Coney Island, I think it was, but

This is what we get when "it" is the only singular non-gender-implying pronoun in English. I'm a grammar nazi much of the time, but I've been using "they" in this way for 10-20 years and only recently noticed it was becoming quite common to the point that I don't even feel weird about it any longer.

Cisco and someone sitting behind him from the POV of the shooter. Cisco was the target because of the bolo, Darlene wasn't.

Yep, when it became clear how the season's eps were numbered, they should have relabeled the first review as episode 1+2 and the rest of the season's eps shoulda been +1ed… or else they could have just skipped from ep 1 to ep 3, either way.

Giraffe, for sure.

Ghost Shayla is wayyyyy overdue. Maybe the actress is busy/had a bad experience in season 1 and doesn't want to come back? Because otherwise… she totally should have come back beyond that flashback season at the start of the ep after she died.

When you don't know, say "they."

I'm pretty sure Sam Esmail is making the show he wants to make as if he was the audience of his own show. If other people happen to enjoy it, all's the better.
