There should never, ever be any need to defend The Blair Witch Project, Wild World of Sporks, because it's an incredibly accomplished, original, very effective horror movie.  Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2, however, may need some help.

I loved The Passage too, and only picked it up because of the AVC review, but I'm also now finding myself struggling a bit to remember the particulars of what happened in that book.  I guess what I'm saying is: Bucky, why don't you do all the re-reading work, then post a nice plot synopsis for all of us?  I mean, it's

I completely agree.  Think about how many compelling stories there are to be told in this universe.  Honestly, my dream scenario is a "smaller" story involving characters we haven't met or even heard of, taking place at the same time as the events of the original movies - I'm thinking of a tight "caper movie" showing

Just starting Song of Kali this week - very excited, I've heard it's one of his best, and I think The Terror is one of the best books I've read in at least the last 10 years.

I've added five things to my cart this morning too.  Gaaaaah.

I absolutely love The Terror.  In fact, I like it so much that I've since tracked down and read nearly all of Dan Simmons' other novels, still waiting for him to recapture the genius of that book (so far in vain, but I still hold out hope - reading Song of Kali next, which many people say is the best of his
