Yes to both versions of this question.  I would really, really love for this to happen.  At this stage, could he really still hate Jay so much?

This really made me laugh.

Agreed.  Although some of Mal's actions are of course bad in the sense that they are technically illegal (if "murder" is against the law out there in the black), or not entirely sporting or honorable, or whatever, I never view any of those actions as bad in the morally reprehensible, irredeemable sense.  I would say

Hmmm.  Well, other than the fact that those people clearly had it coming, I guess I'd say that those are pretty minor offensives compared to some of the stuff Tony Soprano, Walter White, Vic Mackey, or Omar have done.  Correction: take Omar off that list: now that I think of it, actually, those two things sound

The answer to Noel's question about which Mal we love, of course, is "all three."  That Mal embodies all three of these archetypes, if you can call them that, is what makes him such an awesome, awesome television show hero, maybe my favorite main character of any show, ever.  Perhaps because nearly all of my other

Modell!!!  Matchstick Men is "decent but forgettable"?  You should watch that movie again I think, because actually it's awesome.  Easily one of Ridley Scott's best, and in my Top 5 "Con Man Movies" of all time next to The Sting, Ocean's 11, House of Games/The Spanish Prisoner (tied), and The Brothers Bloom.

How about, "Holy shit, did I brush my teeth today?"

Totally agree.  My son is over 1, and things have gotten much easier.  But I still say that first two or three months can be pretty brutal.

Congrats Kyle!  Having just survived the experience of having a newborn baby in the house, I say a hearty "Welcome to Thunderdome" to you.  You will survive the experience, and be much better for it, although not without significant damage to your personal hygiene, sleeping habits, social calendar, conversational

I can't resist:

This is a really good summary.  The only thing I would take issue with is characterizing Roland, the main character, as a "military/social leader."  I think it's probably closer to "Jedi Knight/Samurai Warrior/Monk," ported into the body of an old west gunfighter.  And yes, he is as awesome as he sounds, at least
