1. Take a shot every time Superman or Batman do something out of character.

My girlfriend has just started the first Amnesia. I think she's afraid to play more.
I'm thinking of firing up Dragon Age 2. Just finished Dead Space 2, and I think I need a break from shooters for a bit.
I think Superman movies seem to be strangely reluctant to get beyond Lex and Other Kryptonians for Superman to fight. The DCAU did such a good job with Braniac though, it seems like a logical choice to make as a primary antagonist, with just a bit of planning. Introducing it might even be as simple as having Braniac…
The DCAU goes a long way to making Superman both likeable and well rounded. Batman may be the superhero we deserve, but that Superman is the one I want.
I remember an episode of Batman Beyond had superman get controlled by some random alien starfish he was keeping as a pet, and that managed to be one of the more disturbing Superman fights I've seen in the cartoons. Mind controlled Superman just floated and fired his eye lasers about from a distance, while team Batman…
It doesn't surprise me… Man of Steel had some daylight in it…. BvS just looks like it was done in small greenscreen sets. Suicide Squad looks like it has better action, ffs.
It would be hilarious if Bruce Wayne had spent his whole life studying martial arts, criminology, costume design, and advanced technology just as a hobby before losing his parents.
What I find weird about that situation is why Batman wouldn't use his anti-Superman suit all the time afterwards. Batman is usually just fighting random people, but you never know when Bane or Killer Croc will show up out of the blue.
You're right… looking at IMDB… he was 25 when Dune was released, so probably 24 when it was filmed, but the guy looks damn near 30.
A political drug thriller you say? Breaking into a House of Crack.
It's funny how much this article is trying to stick up for all the visual choices of the film, while that was one of the major parts of what really soured the film for my initial watching of it. I recognize that everyone has different notions of what characters and technology look like when they read it, but the Dune…
Dune was a real intro to atheism for me… one of my classmates, the first atheist my own age I had ever met, was reading Dune at the same time I was. Sci-fi and fantasy books often use the creation of new religions or the use of religions to manipulate people as plot devises, but Dune was one of the first that I…
GoT must spend huge amounts of money on it's fancy wardrobes and armor. The advantage of sci-fi is that you can use plastics and modern fabrics a lot more. Desert locations may be expensive, but you also have to figure that making Dune would require one place, rather than GoT where you have to tape in Iceland,…
As much as I like Kyle Maclachlan, he seemed super old for the part he was cast as. To the extent that it was distracting that he was still being trained by guys that only looked a few years older than him.
The miniseries shows in the 90s and 00s also seemed like they could never attract the kind of acting talent they need, or the actors were not that invested in such a short project. Script and VFX can only compensate so much for that.
Or just Johnny Depp Pancake Makeup.
Me too. The outfits would be way better… less robes, more capes.
Oh good. I was sad to see no write up of it here. Was there crossdressing?
Ugh, I hope that Hollywood doesn't think that the new superhero franchise is the fucking Bible. At least everyone skipped the Kings and Prophets show.
