Pretty good. I do agree that they began to live up to their true potential only upon developing The Machine as an actual character.

Harold ships Root & Shaw, while John ships Root & Finch.
About time he checks out. Seriously if this is an excuse for more of that, I'll be more than happy if the choose to kill him off down the road.
Anybody else checked out the promo for next week's episode? Manpain overdose is not what the show needs right now. Of course, the core stuff on the AI front will continue with Root & Finch, as it's the final act of the season & they need to move it forward. Just don't want it to take a backseat to something that…
It's probably the new dye-job.
I rewatched Control-Alt-Delete a few days ago, with a headset. The amplified audio generated through it is pure eargasm!
"I figured, or should have figured, this one would get high marks as it has lots of Samaritan and Root. That's nerd catnip!"
Going by some BTS pix from the finale, (spoiler) the briefcase plays a prominent role.
'Surely there was something in that Fabergé egg because why else would the Machine order Root to break it?'
It didn't want the egg. Just the briefcase. In built tracker, can survive being dropped off a plane.
The Root & Reese takeaways are within the realm of possibility. If it wasn't for Winnick's Vikings gig, that could be, too.
I wouldn't say she went on her Bruce Wayne tour right after she avenged her friend, as she stayed in Texas until her mom died in 2002. After that. it's possible.
Cara Buono did an indie flick over the past 3-4 months, where her character's a brunette. She was probably working on that, when she got the call to do another ep for the show. Instead of using a wig, they made the smart choice and let it ride. It is her natural hair color anyway.
If you recall that scene in Prisoner's Dilemma, where Finch had Carter slip in her phone to the redheaded Man in the Suit suspect, on the fly, it makes sense to me that SAM could've had its asset do the same thing, the SECOND Khan was arrested.
Given how Samaritan has assets in the friggen White House, it's reasonable to assume it could have some in Riker's, who could slip a phone to the guy in lockup.
"Think of it as a Machine. You like machines, right Finch?"
That dumbass waiter should've taken her advice & SAT DOWN!
If Skip was a welcome breath of fresh air, Search & Destroy sucks out that very same air from the viewer, & totally sets the stage for the final leg of the season. Seriously, this episode had it all.
Acker can make it work with anybody, but she & Emerson bring out the best in each other.
Even Shaw couldn't bring that out in John.
He gets to cut loose a lot more too.
